The Eastern Ontario Model Forest (EOMF) - The EOMF, one of Canada’s large-scale working model forests, covers 1.5 million hectares, from the counties of Leeds and Lanark, to the Quebec border and the St. Lawrence River.
Turkey Lakes Watershed (TLW) Study - The TLW Study was organized as a joint initiative of Canadian Forest Service, Environment Canada and Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Since its inception in 1979, the study has attracted researchers from various universities, the Ontario government, and other federal government departments. The research strives to define the impact of acidic deposition on undeveloped aquatic and terrestrial terrain. It is highly integrated across disciplines and agencies and has contributed significantly the Government of Canada’s policy related to transboundary air pollution.
Petawawa Research Forest (PRF) - The Petawawa Research Forest’s 18,000 hectares has been the home of forestry experiments for over 80 years.
Forest Research Partnership (FRP) - The partnership is a joint undertaking between the Canadian Ecology Centre, the Canadian Forest Service, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, and Tembec Inc. These four partners are working together to create a strategic alliance with benefits to both the environment and forestry.
